The Basic Raglan Sweater is a great, versatile piece. It offers three neckline options: round neck, cozy collar, and hood. It has a pleasantly loose fit and is specially graded for cozy winter sweatshirts.

Lycra is just another name or brand name for spandex. It is used to designate fabrics for swimwear, sportswear or dancewear. These are usually made of polyamide with an elastane content of 18 to 25 percent. This makes them very elastic and snuggles up to the shape of the body.

Jersey, also known as tricot, is a knitted cotton fabric, usually with a percentage of elastane. Its light and soft feel makes it the most commonly used fabric for T-shirts. It can also be used to sew sweatpants, hats, dresses, and much more.

Ottoman is a very elastic, soft, flowing, breathable, and stretchy material. It's incredibly comfortable to wear and is therefore ideal for a variety of sewing projects, such as hats, pants, cardigans, sweaters, and bloomers... It's a great addition to jersey fabrics! Because it stretches in both directions, it's also perfect for sewing popular beanies with vertical ribbing.
