In bobbin lace, the threads are twisted together, that is, bobbed. The patterns emerge through the nails around which the threads are wrapped. In needle lace, the pattern is charted and the threads are stretched along the lines. These are then embroidered. We use them as decoration for pouches, clothing from woven fabric, pillows, etc.
