Wanja has excellent abrasion resistance with a Martindale value of > 90,000 cycles (for context: For very heavy use in public areas, Martindale values of at least 40,000 cycles are recommended) – making the corduroy velvet suitable even as an upholstery fabric for sofas, armchairs, chairs and stools!
We already know the cool chunky corduroyd or Manchester back then from our childhood. But now he's cooler than ever. Whether for (bib) trousers, skirts, dresses or for accessories such as pillows, it can be used flexibly.

Good to know
- You still need a suitable thread? We'll be happy to choose the right one for you!
- This fabric frays, so finish the edges with a zig zag stitch and sew together with a straight stitch. If the overlock machine is used, the seam must be secured again with a straight stitch in stressed areas.
- We recommend a normal universal needle.
- Cotton fabrics shrink up to 10%, be sure to take this into account when ordering.
- We deliver the fabric folded, it is cut in one piece.
- The colors may vary depending on the screen, we are happy to help with possible combinations.
