Oilcloth - Urmelis Stoffwelt - Wonder Blossom dark denim PVC

We love Wonder Blossom, we had this pretty design printed on woven cotton fabric and coated with the best quality PVC.

Laminated or coated fabrics are printed cotton fabrics whose printed side is subsequently made water-repellent with a thin acrylic or PVC coating. PVC-coated fabrics usually have a smooth surface and are stronger and thicker than acrylic-coated oilcloths.

The advantages of both fabrics are that they are water-repellent and durable. The edges of the fabric do not fray and therefore do not need to be trimmed. When cutting, only the pattern direction needs to be considered, but not necessarily the direction of the grain.

• You still need a suitable thread? We are happy to choose the right one for you!
• Instead of pins, we recommend Wonder Clips.
• The fabric may need to be ironed after processing. At medium heat with a cotton cloth between the oilcloth and the iron, also possible on the front.
• For sewing, we recommend a Microtex needle or alternatively a leather or denim needle.
• So that the fabric is not perforated too much by the seams and tears later, choose a larger stitch length (3 - 4 mm) when sewing.
• To prevent the fabric from sticking to the presser foot, a Teflon foot is recommended. Alternatively, you can stick a piece of masking tape or matt Chläbi under the foot.
• Sewing with baking paper or tissue paper also works really well - you can sew directly on it and then remove it.
• If you want to remove creases with the iron, then very carefully with the lowest setting from the left or with a cloth in between. It also works very well with a hair dryer.
• We deliver the fabric folded, it is cut in one piece.
• The colors may vary depending on the screen, we are happy to help with possible combinations.
