Tencel Modal Jersey knit - ocher

Modal is a substance that is manufactured using a chemical process, but is a 100% natural product in its basic materials. Modal fabric is made from cellulose fibers, which are mostly derived from beech wood. The production of this fabric is sustainable and ecologically justifiable. Modal is similar to viscose in its basic chemical structure, but is produced using a different spinning process. Modal is basically a further development of the much older viscose.

Compared to cotton fabric, modal jersey knit is more durable, elastic and keeps its shape. It is also easier to care for because it is more heat-resistant, creases less and is easier to iron. It also impresses with a pleasant skin feel and a long-lasting, fine shine. The fibers of the modal fabric ensure optimal moisture absorption.

It is perfect for light dresses, blouses or shirts.

• You still need a suitable thread? We are happy to choose the right one for you!
• Jersey knit is best sewn with an overlock machine, but the overlock stitch on a normal sewing machine or a zigzag also work well.
• The fabric can shrink up to 5%.
• For sewing, we recommend a Jersey knit sewing needle, which is suitable for hemming a twin needle best.
• We deliver the fabric folded, it is cut in one piece.
• The colors may vary depending on the screen, we are happy to help with possible combinations.

Washing recommendation

The fabric is washable at max. 40°C, without fabric softener. Tumble drying is not recommended, ironable on a medium setting.
