Leftover - Minky - embossed polka dots light rose 21cm

Minky is a fleece-like fabric made from polyester, but the yarn is significantly thinner than common polyester fabrics like regular fleece. The resulting minky therefore has a much larger surface area and is therefore able to absorb moisture particularly well. Sewing plush is no more difficult than sewing particularly thin, thick, slippery or fraying fabrics, the processing of which poses particular challenges. It is suitable for cuddly blankets, pillows, comforters or stuffed animals. The embossed dots give the fabric a great look.

​Good to know

• You still need a suitable thread? We are happy to choose the right one for you!
• We recommend using sharp scissors for trimming. This is better than the rotary cutter.
• Plush should not be cut at the fold.
• Minky lints, so have a vacuum cleaner or lint roller ready! Tip: to avoid fluff, you can stick a book foil on the right side of the fabric before cutting.
• Pin well! Put a pin about every 1 - 2 cm to keep the fabric in place.
• The fabric doesn't fray, so simply sew with a straight stitch.
• For sewing, we recommend a 90 universal needle.
• Polyster does not shrink, so the fabric does not need to be pre-washed.
• In contrast to conventional fleece, the surface does not tend to pill and remains very supple for a very long time, even after many washes.
• We deliver the fabric folded, it is cut in one piece.
• The colors may vary depending on the screen, we are happy to help with possible combinations.
