English oilskin from a traditional company. This high-quality oilskin fabric is a thick canvas with an oil coating. The oil soaks into the fibers until the fabric is saturated with the oil, making it water repellent, a traditional method of impregnating fabrics. The oil coating is both visible and tactile. Creases and folds become light and this creates the typical used look and an individual patina.

• You still need a suitable thread? We are happy to choose the right one for you!
• Instead of pins, we recommend Wonder Clips.
• For sewing, we recommend a Microtex needle or alternatively a leather or denim needle.
• So that the fabric is not perforated too much by the seams and tears later, choose a larger stitch length (3 - 4 mm) when sewing.
• To prevent the fabric from sticking to the presser foot, a Teflon foot is recommended. Alternatively, you can stick a piece of masking tape or matt Chläbi under the foot.
• If you want to remove creases with the iron, then very carefully with the lowest setting from the left or with a cloth in between. It also works very well with a hair dryer.
• We deliver the fabric folded, it is cut in one piece.
• The colors may vary depending on the screen, we are happy to help with possible combinations.

Washing recommendation

The fabric is not washable and can be re-oiled.
