Jersey, also known as tricot, is a knitted cotton fabric, mostly with elastane. Its light and soft feel makes it the most popular fabric for t-shirts. But jogging pants, hats, dresses and much more can also be sewn from it.

Good to know

• Do you still need a suitable thread or a suitable plain fabric? We are happy to choose the right one for you!
• Jersey is best sewn with an overlock machine, but the overlock stitch on a normal sewing machine or a zigzag also work well.
• The fabric can shrink up to 5%.
• We recommend a jersey sewing needle for sewing, a twin needle is best for hemming.
• We deliver the fabric folded, it is cut in one piece.
• The colors may vary depending on the screen, we are happy to help with possible combinations.

washing recommendation

Washable at 30°C, we recommend washing it ready-made and not using any optical brighteners.
