Carry is a pattern for a softshell coat (wind and raincoat) designed for fabrics such as softshell, dry oilskin, and similar fabrics. The pattern is designed for a single-layer version. To ensure the single-layer version also looks good on the inside, the pattern is finished with facings on the inside. In the detailed digital sewing instructions, we also show you how to sew Carry with a thin lining. You also have the option of adding a waist drawstring and a storm flap over the zipper. Carry can be sewn with a collar or hood, or with both.

The "my Carry" softshell coat includes the pattern in sizes 32-58. From size 44 upwards, Carry is sewn with bust darts.

For “my carry”, coat fabrics that are not stretchy are suitable, such as softshell, dry oilskin, rain jacket fabrics or similar fabrics.

For the softshell coat, you'll need a split zipper. We recommend buying a two-way zipper. You'll also need eyelets, cords, and snap fasteners, and possibly another zipper for the sleeve pocket. For a lined version, thinner fabrics (e.g., woven cotton) are recommended. We also made coats with thicker lining during our test sewing, but in these cases, you'll need to sew the pattern a bit larger.
