The Friesen.liebe4men is a classic rain jacket for men that's very easy to sew, requiring only a little patience for the buttons, zippers, and eyelets. It can be fitted with bar tabs on the sleeves, a drawstring through the hood, and an (elastic) cord through the hem. A flap can be added to conceal the zipper—and (of course!) all the seams can be taped to make your new favorite jacket truly rainproof! All of this is possible—but nothing is necessary.
