My Heart's World - Ladies - My Melba

Melba is a pattern for a lightweight summer dress that can also be sewn as a tunic. The cut is designed for light, flowing fabrics and is a true summer pattern. You can choose whether to sew it without flounces or with one or two flounces covering the shoulders as sleeves. You can also choose between a top with a little extra width, which is folded into box pleats, or a regular top. You can also decide whether the back is closed or has a slit. Depending on your fabric choice, this dress can become a sweet boho dream.

ATTENTION! The choice of fabric is crucial to the success of this pattern. The pattern is designed for non-stretchy, lightweight fabrics with a soft drape, such as woven viscose, voile, lightweight blouse or dress fabrics, chiffon, lightweight lace, etc. If the fabric is too stiff, the fullness and box pleats in the bodice will bunch up considerably, which can look unsightly.
