Piping cords are usually processed in seams and edges, for example on pocket openings or cutouts or on cushions. Everywhere where a bit of decoration can't hurt! A cord is bordered in the break in the band, which instead of a broken edge or a flat end finally forms a kind of roll on the right side of your sewing piece. Of course, the roll is not ironed flat, but remains nice and round and is therefore not only an optical accent, but also something special to the touch. Since the tape of the piping cord is cut at a 45° angle to the grain, it can be laid wonderfully around curves.
