Oilcloth PVC - Coupon Dots silver on white, 25 x 70cm

Laminated or coated fabrics are printed cotton fabrics whose printed side is subsequently made water-repellent with a thin acrylic or PVC coating. PVC-coated fabrics usually have a smooth surface and are stronger and thicker than acrylic-coated oilcloths.

The advantages of both fabrics are that they are water-repellent and durable. The fabric edges don't fray and therefore don't need to be finished. When cutting, only the pattern direction needs to be considered, not necessarily the grain.

Good to know

• Instead of pins, we recommend Wonder Clips .
• For sewing we recommend a microtex needle or alternatively a leather or jeans needle.
• To prevent the fabric from being perforated too much by the seams and possibly tearing later, choose a longer stitch length (3 – 4 mm) when sewing.
• To prevent the fabric from sticking to the presser foot, we recommend using a Teflon foot. Alternatively, you can stick a piece of masking tape or matte fabric under the foot.
• Sewing also works really well with baking paper or tissue paper – you can sew directly onto it and then remove it.
• If you want to remove creases with an iron, do so very carefully on the lowest setting from the left or with a cloth between the iron and the fabric. A hairdryer also works very well.
• We deliver the fabric folded and it is cut in one piece.
