Vivien is a digital sewing tutorial with a pattern for a very simple shirt or T-shirt. This pattern is even available in our shop as a free book. Vivien offers the option of dividing it into sections. This is ideal for fabric scraps that aren't quite large enough for a long-sleeved shirt or T-shirt. The small number of pieces and detailed instructions make this pattern ideal for beginners.
The Vivien shirt has a loose fit. If you want it to fit more closely, sew it one size smaller than recommended. If you like, you can also sew a casual chest pocket onto the shirt.
The eBook "my Vivien" includes a pattern in sizes 32-58. Sizes 44 and above include bust darts.
The shirt is designed for lightweight, stretchy fabrics. Cotton or viscose jersey are best suited for this cut, although viscose jersey has a slightly looser fit. The cuffs can also be sewn from jersey or ribbed fabric.
This article is a paper pattern > printed sewing instructions and a printed pattern in large format will be sent to you by post.
