Discover the versatility and elegance of our woven viscose fabric, the perfect companion for your creative sewing projects. This high-quality fabric is characterized by its soft, flowing texture and natural sheen, which adds a luxurious touch to any garment. Contrary to popular belief, viscose is not a purely synthetic fiber, but an industrially manufactured product made from natural cellulose. It is very similar to cotton but drapes slightly heavier.

      Good to know

      • Still need a matching thread ? We'll be happy to pick the right one for you!
      • Here we have collected all the patterns for woven fabrics.
      • Pre-wash your fabric, as viscose can shrink quite a bit. It's best to neaten the cut edges beforehand to prevent fraying during washing.
      • You sew viscose fabric with a short straight stitch and loosened thread tension.
      • For sewing we recommend a fine microtex needle .
      • Viscose woven fabric is quite slippery, so use spray starch before ironing to make it a bit more tacky. You'll likely have to wash your finished piece again after sewing. You can also make your own ironing starch from water and cornstarch if you don't have any on hand.
      • Instead of pins, we recommend Wonder Clips as they do not leave holes in the fabric.
      • A short-pile rug is a good base for slippery fabrics. Use small cutting motions with the scissors and hold the fabric with your left hand just next to the edge you're cutting to prevent it from slipping.
      • We deliver the fabric folded and it is cut in one piece.
      • Colors may vary depending on your screen; we are happy to help with possible combinations.
